Kahuku High School (located on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii) has been making their graduation ceremony amazing for over 20-years. Their solution? A breathtaking medley of song and dance performed by the graduating class!
The 2015 class started things off with improvised lyrics for the hit song “See You Again” by Khalifa and Puth, they moved on from this bittersweet piece to “ABC” by the Jackson 5 before cutting over to “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift. The graduating seniors finished out their performance with “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus and “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson.
The medley is closed out with their performance of a haka—which is a “traditional dance from the Maori people of New Zealand.”
Choreographed, interactive, flashmob-style graduation ceremonies have become a unique way to make a special day like graduation extremely personal and memorable for everyone in attendance.
